How Does Laser Hair Removal Work
Our BBL laser targets the pigmentation in the hair follicle and delivers pulsed light to it during a laser hair removal session. The pulsed light damages the follicle making it unable to continue growing hair. Most patients need about 6 laser hair removal sessions to eliminate all their unwanted hair, however, the number of sessions will depend on how much hair there is to remove.
We love our BBL laser because it tends to be more accurate and thorough compared to other hair removal treatments that can miss hairs.
This laser is safe and effective for skin types I-V on the Fitzpatrick scale.

Unfortunately, like other devices on the market, our laser hair removal system is most effective on hair with pigment in it.

Yes, sometimes patients do a series with us and that is all they need to remove unwanted hair permanently. However, it is more common for patients to have some regrowth. The regrowth is typically thinner and finer than their original hair. Those patients will come back for 1 to 2 maintenance visits per year.

Unlike some of the older machines that felt like a snapping rubber band, our laser is more comfortable. The handpiece creates a warming, “prickly” sensation that most patients can tolerate without using a numbing agent.
